The 7th Todos Santos Film Festival brings to Todos Santos and La Paz Latin American cinematography of great artistic and educational merit, while celebrating local and national Mexican film culture. This year the festival offers a selection of the best and most recent fiction, documentary and short films from Latin America and Mexico. The Festival promotes youth education through film and supports women in film while avoiding stereotypes and violence as entertainment. It also supports the protection of the environment and the fight against domestic violence. Film transports us to unknown territories and challenges us with eclectic and provocative ideas. 1 – 7 March, 2010, Todos Santos, Baja California Sur

Todos Santos is situated 50 miles south of La Paz and 46 miles north of Cabo San Lucas at the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna. The town looks to the Pacific Ocean among the greens of the rich farm crops, the palm groves, the mango and avocado trees and the canebrakes of the Valle del Pilar. Todos Santos was established as the site of the mission of Nuestra Senora del Pilar de La Paz, by father Jaime Bravo in 1723. It reached the status of mission with the name of Santa Rosa de Todos Santos, in honor of its benefactor, dona Rosa de la Pena.
